In this recession, many of us find ourselves in need of support — even those of us who never expected to need assistance. But the Jewish community is here for you.

UJA-Federation of New York created Connect to Care, an initiative that capitalizes on UJA-Federation’s unique capacity to respond to a communitywide crisis and use its vast agency network to leverage the services and strengths of 10 of the New York area’s most prestigious service agencies and Jewish community centers.

The result is a broad array of services that are coordinated among agencies and area synagogues to provide you and your family with the help you may need — where you need it. You can access services near your home, your job, or another discreet location. So services are easy to obtain, are comprehensive, and ensure the privacy you need. And they address a broad range of challenges you and your family are facing by providing employment and career counseling, supportive counseling, financial consultation, and legal assistance.

UJA-Federation’s Connect to Care provides access to:

  • Employment and career-transition services, including job networking opportunities and career seminars.
  • Financial consultation, debt counseling, and budget assistance.
  • Legal services.
  • Supportive counseling and Jewish spiritual care.

For help and additional information, contact connect-to-care@ujafedny.org or call UJA-Federation’s J11 information and referral center at 1-877-UJA-NYJ11. Or visit a UJA-Federation Connect to Care center near you.  View their website at http://www.ujafedny.org/connect-to-care/
